Our Sacred Practices:

Meditation & Inquiry & Integrity

You belong to Life.

It is Life which will hold you, heal you, sustain you, train you and transform you each day you show up for practice.

I offer everything you need to deeply approach three interconnected practices which, when performed together, lead to inevitable personal encounters with what is most sacred.

You will come to experience what is most true and wonderful about Life in your own body, heart and mind. You will gain the space, time and tools to receive Life's messages and lessons directly, and to understand them deeply in your own terms.

Meditation is the art of cultivating awareness, especially awareness of the Self and inner world. Awareness is the most fundamental aspect of being, therefore the most invisible. To see what is always here, we must spend some time in stillness and silence.

I will give you new guided meditations every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. You will have a chance to join live and practice those techniques in the days in between.

"Awareness is the point at which the mind reaches out beyond itself into reality. In awareness you seek not what pleases, but what is true."

- Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Inquiry is the art of asking the right questions and following what we discover in such a way that yields true revelation and transformation.

Every Wednesday I will give you a key philosophical question to explore on your own, plus a relevant and resonant talk to get your contemplative motor running.

Integrity is the art of showing up fully for the values and truths we have discovered along the way. It is the capacity to move with the whole body, heart and mind in alignment.

You act with integrity just by signing up for this course, committing to 21 days of discovering and honoring what matters most to you.

And if you show up every day, you will develop the ability to always come back to your values and your truths, whatever the circumstance or season.

Testimonials

It really started my day off right. I lived for this daily morning ritual and I really appreciated the experience very very much. Aaron's personal attention to everyone's feedback. The kind and open hearted approach to mediation and her students. Her sense of humor, her deep connection to the practice, her honor for the lineages she's past through, and the way she teaches. I never felt looked down upon, I truly felt like she was sharing with us from a place neither above us or below us, which makes it much easier for me to receive what she has to offer.

- Nami S. Teacher/Healer/Artist, Brooklyn, NY

Aaron is wise, practical, and level-headed about instruction. She's always pushing for depth in practice, moving beyond surface level understandings, but she does it in a way that is completely authentic and accessible.

- Jenny K., Theatre Artist and Educator, Queens, NY

I've been so moved by the course. I've been talking about it a lot to friends and applying some of the framework to how I think about my path. It's helped me realize that I actually really care about what I do, and that I've already organized my life around a sense of care, so the work is getting out of my own way and not letting other people or obstacles obscure what I already know.

- Naveen, Writer, Manhattan, NY

Aaron is a gifted meditation and yoga teacher who can help you find more meaning in your life. Whether you're working through something specific, you want to get in better communion with yourself, or you want to experience a closer connection with other people and the universe as a whole, Aaron can help bring you there. She approaches meditation simultaneously from a spiritual and intellectual perspective, but most of all she helps you tap into what you already know and only need to remember.

- Jenny H., Lawyer, Brooklyn, NY

I have often felt alienated by the culture and language of co-opted religion and philosophy, especially as yoga has often been appropriated for profit and gain in the West. Aaron synthesizes a deep understanding of yoga and distills it, translates it with respect and grace. She infuses yoga principles with a touch of cognitive behavioral theories and renders what is usually a fairly opaque set of ideas into an accessible, profound and transformative practice.
